If prime rib is your thing, House of Prime Rib (aka HOPR) is the place to visit on Van Ness in Nob Hill. After you walk through the doors, you walk into pure goodness. Surrounding the large bar / lounge area are multiple rooms with dark wood buzzing with people ready to indulge in the most amazing meal.

From the minute the fresh, sourdough bread and butter land on the table it is time to scour the menu and decide which cut of prime rib you want to order. King Henry VIII, is the largest cut, followed by The English Cut, House of Prime Rib Cut, and The City Cut. All of it is tender, juicy and flavorful. With this cut of meat, which is served tableside from the carver and the cart, you also get to enjoy many sides: salad bowl (tossed table side), yorkshire pudding, mashed / baked potato (with all of the fixings!), creamed spinach / corn, and amazing horseradish. If you manage to finish your cut of meat, you get a second serving for free!! If you still have room to eat more, you can always enjoy one of their many desserts.
